I went to Dr Van Orman, because he was nearby and my wonderful previous dentist did not take my new insurance. Dr Van Orman told me that ALL of my crowns were old and needed to be replaced. Fortunately I only had two crowns made and they did not fit properly so I could not chew. I had a miserable time before Dr Van Orman and his crew finally agreed to replace the badly made teeth. PS Upon second opinions, none of my molers needed to be replaced.

Must be cheap - he's covered by our insurance! Very unimpressed. Poor bedside manner - introduced himself to me 2 days in a row. Attempted to extract my husband's wisdom tooth and that went bad - might or might not have been his fault. We ended up at an emergency periodontist ($$$). Then someone else who uses him had his mouth numbed on the wrong side for his filling!

He's been a fine dentist. I have been seeing him happily for nearly 2 years now.

I had tooth sensitivity on two lower teeth that had crowns. He could not figure out why and suggested that I get the teeth ground down because they were seated too high. That did not work. I am at a different dentist now that says the crown height would not have caused the teeth to be sensitive. The new dentist sent me to be evaluated by an endodontist.
