I had 4 phone calls with a girl in her office named Melissa to arrange an appointment. All the particulars were discussed, including what insurance I had. I took off a morning to make the 9AM appointment I was given. I arrived at 8:50AM and when I handed the girl at the desk my insurance card, I was told, "Oh, we do not take this insurance." I have been a patient of Dr. Downie for over 12 years. Her work is excellent and her staff is top notch. Even though Dr. Downie is the dermatologist to the "Stars", she gives me the "Star" treatment each time I see her. As long as you follow her instructions and have patience the end result of your treatment will be exactly as promised. I met Dr. Downie over two years ago. Never having visited a dermatologist before, I prepared a list of issues and questions. While creating my file, her assistant softly suggested that Dr. Downie may not be able to review everything with me that day. I understood and tried to prioritize. I started going to Dr. Downie in July when I was told by a few other dermatologists that nothing could be done for my skin besides accutane. I have been battling acne since I was a teen but my skin was always manageable especially while I was in birth control. I recently had major surgery in May. I was left with an open wound on my leg, that wasn't healing well. I ran into Dr. Dowling at CVS in July. I was so surprised that she recognized me. I only had one visit with her about a mole removal. I told her about my surgery and showed her my leg. With great concern she urged me to call the office and make an appointment. I have to say that since puberty, my skin was a wreck. I've been to numerous dermatologists who've prescribed everything under the sun Accutane to birth control. I have to say that Dr. Downie has been the ONLY dermatologist who fixed my skin issues. My skin hasn't been this clear since I was 10/11 years old. Her staff is awesome, she gives me recommendations on what products to use, and I'm so happy that I found a doctor whose been able to care for my skin!

I highly recommend Image Dermatology for all of your dermatology needs. The receptionsts are friendly and welcoming and try to accommodate your schedule when making an appointment. The medical assistants are extremely professional and friendly and provide coupons if available to defer costs of recommended prescriptions. I was shocked to read negative ratings about Dr Downie. Though it is more often people come to rating sites to complain, rather than to commend a dr. Also, perhaps these people were more frustrated with their condition, than the treatment they received. I have been a patient of Dr. Downie’s for 10+ years. She is extremely knowledgeable of the latest techniques, procedures and medicines; she and her staff are warm, friendly and caring; and the office/waiting room is comfortable and cozy. I am pleased with the service and care I receive from Dr. Downie, and I wouldn’t trust my skin care to any other doctor!
