I have a long family history of cardiac issues. Including stroke and sudden death. I spoke to him several times about having spells of feeling weak and shakey. He diagnosed me with anxiety and said it could be low blood sugar, without checking my sugar level and this and that and put me off, made me feel bad/dumb for coming in. Finally he gave me a referral to a cardiologist and was immediately diagnosed with SVT and was scheduled for a heart ablation. Dr. Mattingly has by far the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have been to. If you have a problem and your appointment is 30 minutes long, 25 will be him telling you a story about something unrelated that he just thought of. More than once, he rubbed my arms or legs, which made me insanely uncomfortable. He also said that the APA was not worth listening to.
