Kids are naturally scared of dentists. Dr. Parker has created a practice that parents should fear equally or worse. His rule of not letting parents into the room is understandable. Was even impressive until it became amazingly clear why. There is no doubt after speaking with other ex-patients and professionals in dentistry that he is routinely administering unnecessary procedures that cause anxiety for the children and profit for his practice. My 2 yr old needed dental restoration, which required resin put on his teeth, and anesthesia. when i went to sign the papers and give the green light for this procedure, the receptionist told me, with a smile, "Your primary insurance WILL cover most of this procedure and Medicaid WILL pick up the remainder." My son's teeth look great, but i just recieved a bill for $1200 for the actual procedure, plus another bill for nearly $800 to cover the 2 anesthesiologists. Dr. Parker's Office was a over all great experience for me and my 5 year old daughter. Who was extremely nervous about going to the dentist which made me nervous. Once she walked into his office and seen all the ocean themed paintings on the wall and waiting area full of toys and large tv screen she started to relax some. The wait to be seen was not long at all, which most offices are at least 20-30min or more!. We were seen with 10mins after filling paper work out. My 6 year old daughter who was very fearful of going to the dentist needed to have a tooth pulled. Dr. Parker and his staff were warm, welcoming, and patient with her, and were able to make her experience as positive as can be. She had such a good experience that she actually looks forward to going to the dentist. I was so impressed as a parent that I will continue to take my daughter to him, even though their practice does not take our particular insurance plan. Dr. Parker was my daughter's dentist. This was her very first dental visit and he made it very enjoyable for her, She even said it was "fun" when she left. She brought her stuffed animal so she wouldn't get scared and Dr. Parker even "examined" her bunny to put her at ease. The entire office staff was very friendly. We will definitely return to Dr. Parker on our next visit!
