I felt dismissed by Dr. Van Ittersum about my concerns because of being pregnant and having potential ‘risks’ despite my OB’s approval to seek treatment. Unfortunately, it was a a waste of my time and money just to leave with confirmation of my suspected condition. I wasn’t given any sort of timeline that I could come back postpartum to pursue treatment. Thankfully, my PCP was able and willing to treat my condition.

I have been going to Dr. Van Ittersum for years. He is a very respected physician, who is kind, professional, and will listen to your concerns. I highly recommend him for any skin issues, you won't be disappointed.

I recently visited Dr. Van Ittersum for a couple of issues that had, unfortunately, mostly subsided before my appointment, because it took two months for their office to respond to the referral from my PCP. I experienced Dr. Van Ittersum to be disengaged, dismissive, objectifying, and condescending, even in the brief 5-7 minutes he spent with me.
