I had an abscess tooth from a mistake from a different doctor that was causing me an incredible amount of pain. My dentist referred me to Dr. Schellenberg for an emergency appointment on a Saturday. Dr. Schellenberg called me and asked what time I could be there with no hesitation. He met me at the office and immediately started taking care of me, identifying the problem fast and knowledgeably. I cannot say enough about Dr. Shellenberg! He literally saved my son's life! My son had an abscess come out of nowhere due to an old tooth injury. He had been gradually having pain and worsened by the day. He was in the ER on a Friday night who did a CT scan to find out why all the swelling and pain and they found the abscess and due to not having emergency dental in the ER they sent us home with an antibiotic. I went and saw Dr. Schellenberg on a Friday August 11. After the tooth was evaluated he advised the tooth was needing a root canal, but the tooth could be saved. Over the weekend the tooth went bad. I called first thing Monday morning and North Pointe was able to get me in that day. I had no pain during the procedure, even though there was a lot of infection going on. Tiffinay was nice but that older rude front office lady told us we had No appointment. And maybe the dentist could “squeeze us in”. Never coming back due to gross incompetence in the front office which reflects on clinical skills as well. Communication was terrible
