Dr. Matuszek is very nice and overall a good doctor. The 2 things that bother me: 1. It can be very hard to get in to see her. I was told it would take 3 months. 2. She performed a hysterectomy on me(and did a very good job), but noone on her staff seem concerned that a full year later, I spot after sex. I have NO reproductive organs.....there should be no spotting. I'm currently looking for a new doctor.
I think Janet is a great dr but believe her practice may have grown to a size that is neg effecting the type of intimate service she once gave. My first pregnancy was great, very uneventful, luckily. My 2nd not so much. I had some serious preeclampsia issues and ended up being induced 3 wks early. Her partner and staff didn't seem as concered about my situation as I thought they should be based on what Janet had previously told me. The staff and doctors and Nurse Practitioner are very nonchalant and seem a little apathetic. My first trip we were keep waiting in a room for over 30 minutes while the nurse practitioner spoke to a vendor in the hall for 20 of the 30 minutes. The next visit had to request to see an actual doctor which is what we pay for and again 20 minutes in the waiting room and 20 minutes in the patient room for a 5 minute visit. Very poor service! Nice people but do not plan to be on time.
Dr. Matuszek is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I was really nervous about changing doctors and she made me so glad that I did. She found an infection that my old doctor had never even tested for that could have caused many complications during my pregnancy. She is wonderful and very knowledgeable. She is busy like any other doctor, but she will take the time with you when something that needs attention is going on. I would recommend her to anyone!
She was very nice. The beef I had with her office was that they NEVER remembered who I was. I came in every month for prenatal visits, then had a miscarriage, had a d and c, then three months later was pregnant again...And EVERY single appt. for the next 9 or 10 months, the nurse would ask, "Is this your first pregnancy?" And I would have to explain EVERY month that no, I had a miscarriage before. I would just think that they would glance at the chart first before asking that every time. It felt insensitive. Dr. Matuszek is a truly a LIFESAVER!!! I met Dr. Matuszek sort of by default. I was with a different OB with the pregnancy of my second child for 8 whole months and I had a c-section with my first child so she allowed me to come and see her that far along when other Doctors turned me down. Although I wasn't successful with my VBAC she supported me 100% along the way. I've been with her since and two kids more. She is GREAT!! Pluse I love St. Lukes!!!
Dr. Mat and Julie are wonderful. The staff is great and my husband, children, and I always felt welcome to ask ANY type of question. My husband had a previous wife who had several misscarriages. He was very nervous about our pregnancy. Dr. Mat and Julie always answered all of his questions and concerns (sometimes more than once) with gental care and understanding. Dr. Matuszek was made for her career choice. She has vast knowledge and is very pro-active. She has an understanding like no other Dr. I've seen. Her bedside manner is very caring and sympathetic when needed to be (miscarriages). She hands down, has the best nurse practioner in Julie. When I see Julie I feel as I am still getting top notch care with someone who takes my problems seriously and wants what is in the best interest for me and my health.
