Dr. Mehtani literally saved our lives. In 1987 our little family came to Sacramento for a family holiday. I was 7 month pregnant with our 4th child. My husband went into a psychosis and ended up in a psychiatric hospital (his 3rd time). Dr. Mehtani was the first to give my husband an accurate diagnosis…Bipolar. Dr Mehtani is a very kind, empathetic and compassionate psychiatrist. He has always been professional and he helps you to understand your diagnosis and allows you to express your needs and concerns, as well as participate in your own care, without trying to force treatment on you. I have been a patient for over 20 years.
HE noted in an official report that he spent 2.5 hours with me when it wasn’t only 1. Facility was dirty. He was rushing me out of the office. DO NOT CHOOSE FOR A QME!!!
I have gone to this office for years and have seen 4 Drs. and PAs. Dr. Mehtani is extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and can diagnose an issue fast and accurately. Once accepted as a patient, you will be referred to another Dr or PA. There is only 1 PA that I wasn't crazy about, and so I was given someone else. I've seen Tony for years. Tony is a very caring, concerned man whom always has good tidbits of advice/help. I am extremely happy with my care at Fair Oaks Psychiatric.
They take several days to return voicemails and rarely can I get a live person when I call. When I do, I'm immediately placed on hold for 10+ minutes until I finally give up and hang up. Doctors have terrible bed-side manner.
