I am a doctor myself and have migraine headaches. I have been to MANY headache specialists/neurologists over the years before finding Dr. Brandes 7 years ago. She is without doubt the best I have seen and completely changed my approach to my headaches. They have been under control ever since I started seeing her and I am very grateful. Not only is she knowlegable, she is a very compassionate, patient and caring doctor. She has experienced health problems herself so she can relate to you. She is worth the wait.
Excellent Dr, but you will have a WAIT so bring a good book or two.
No doctor is worth this wait! At every appointment (3), my wait has been over 3 hours-- and this is just the wait in the external waiting room, to say nothing of waiting once I have been called back. This attitude says, "I am the great and powerful Doctor! You can just wait until I am ready." Brandes does come across as concerned; however, I think this is just learned behavior. very wonderful and compassionate dr. very proffesional and has a soothing presence. I'd reccomend her to anyone. I always did spend a lot of time in the waiting room, so pencil in plenty of time, but she's worth the wait.
