Dr Brandes is great. Her office staff horrible. They are just incompetent. There is absolutely no reason to wait 3 hours to see a Doctor. I use to be able to get in to see Susan Robison fast. No longer. She now takes as long as Dr Brandes. My results are great so I endure once a year to keep my meds current. I think they would be amazed if they had an office manager who actually ran the practice. It just boggles my mind that any professional physician lets her office staff get by like this.

I have had chronic migraines since my early thirties. Nothing helped, not even the weekly trips to the ER. That was a HUGE cost. My family phys. recommended Dr. Brandes about 8 years or so ago. She has helped me immensely. Yes, she has tried many different combinations of meds in MY case. Nothing will ever take my headaches away completely but they sure do help manage the pain. She's always been pleasant, patient and kind. She takes her time during the visit as well. Yes, you do have to wait a while in her office but you hav... read more

Every time I had an appt my average wait time was 2 hrs to see Dr. Brandes. On my last visit she recommended a CT scan. Her recpt. called and gave me the time of the appt. I went but no orders had been faxed over plus my ins had not even been approved yet. RX called in to Walmart but the the insurance had denied it. I found out 4 days later when I went to p/u RX. Her office had done nothing to get a subsitute even though Walmart had faxed them on March 28 of the denial. On March 29, I called to speak to Dr. about a discussio... read more

Dr. Brandes was highly recommended to me after suffering from debillitating headaches. It took a long time to get an appt. scheduled and then once in, it took an unusually long time to wait to be seen. She did take time to ask and answer questions and had a pleasing personality. After putting me on 5-6 prescriptions for my headaches though, I felt like a zombie. I could not deal with that many meds, plus the side effects. I wish there was something more than meds to help for migraines (esp, for clusters). Overall, I think sh... read more

DR.BRANDES IS VERY CARING AND SHE TAKES HER TIME WITH YOU. SHE LISTENS TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND HAS ME OPTOMISTIC THAT SHE WILL HELP ME SO FAR, HOWEVER HER FRONT DESK STAFF IS VERY RUDE,UNCARING AND IS OF NO HELP AT ALL. DR. BRANDES WROTE ME OUT THREE SUBSCRIPTIONS WHICH I AM STILL TRYING TO GET FILLED. SHE FORGOT TO PUT THE STRENGTH AMOUNT ON THE SCRIPT, SO MY PHARMACIST AND MYSELF HAVE PUT IN MANY CALLES TRYING TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS,BUT HAVE ONLY BEEN UP ON HOLD FROM ANYWHERE FROM 15 TO 45 MINUTES. THEY WILL NOT ... read more

I was referred to Dr. Brandes by my physical therapist at Vanderbilt. There was an 8 month wait for new patient appt. but I was eager to find help so I waited. My appt was scheduled for 12pm, the office called me the day before and had changed my time to 2pm and asked that I come in at 1:30 to do paperwork/intake. I arrived at 1:15 and was not even called back until 3pm. At 3:45, I went to the front desk and tried to reschedule. Nurse came up and said she could check me in. I conceded and we went back and reviewed my paperwo... read more

Dr. Brandes has changed my life. Two years ago I went to the emergency room (ER)4 times in a year because the approach for treating my migraines was insufficient. I haven't been to the ER since seeing her. Her diagnostic technique, treatment skills and compassion exceed expectations. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Brandes is wonderful. Her office staff is HORRIBLE. I was charged for not showing up to an appt. for Susan Roberson. I saw Susan once and waited hours and she had me in tears. Appointment was at 2:00. I got out of there at 5:00. For this reason I will not make appts. with Susan again. Last winter I received a bill from Nashville Neuroscience for not showing up to an appt. for Susan. I knew I didn't make this appointment because I refuse to see her. I tried to explain this with her office staff and all they told me was "n... read more

While the wait may be long, it is worth. After two years of misery, missing work, and fmaily activities, she got my migranes under control. She will listen to your concerns and adjust medications as necessary. Excellenet care!
