I saw Dr. Pennington in mid September. I did not have the best experience with him. I do believe he a good at his job, and has okay bedside manner. However, I feel that he was not the best choice to do my thyroidectomy, because of he's poor hygiene in front of patients. I had an appointment at 3:30 p.m, and didn't get seen until 5:30. Dr. Pennington and Toby Moreland performed a partial thyroidectomy and lobectomy on me in July. I had very good results and highly recommend both of them.
My mother had nasal issues and he told her at the office that it could be cancer even without checking. The procedure was done and he came to me to the waiting room and in front of everyone he said he got a biopsy. I assumed it was a growth and I said “I am praying it is benign”. He said no it is cancer and left. Couldn’t get back in touch with him but he PA came back to talk with me. I found more caring from my vet. And since when do you blurt something out in a crowed waiting room.
Can't say enough about Dr. Pennington, Toby his P.A. and their staff. Performed a very complicated surgery on my thyroid. He was very informative and explained what the procedure would involve and what would be required for recovery. Many thanks to Dr. Pennington and his team.
July 26th marks one year since my full thyroidectomy for unmanaged Graves and muliple very large nodules. I had a really good experience with Dr. Pennington and Toby Moreland. Zero pain, very little swelling, my parathyroid and vocal cords had no damage, and I felt well enough to go to the beach the next day. I have several thyroid problem buddies who all had horrible experiences with their surgeries, so I feel lucky to have had mine done by a skilled surgeon.
I saw Dr Pennington in 2012. He does not listen to the patient and does poor work. He left me high and dry with ETD problems on one side and refused to consider a tube. His performance was so bad I had to have a repeat Surgery 10 months later. I would not recomend him to anyone. Find a different ENT.
