Very disappointed with Dr Ficke. I traveled cross country for an appointment due to the excellent reviews he has received. The appointment went very well. At the conclusion of the appointment, he said he would give me a recommendation on next steps once he received my MRI from my local imaging group. I sent the MRI immediately after my appointment and contacted his assistant to confirm its receipt. She indicated that it was available to the Dr and that he would review it and call me. Dr. Ficke is AMAZING. God bless you Dr. Ficke! The ankle replacement he performed has given me a new lease on life. To be able to make dinner for my family and take my dog for a walk has been such a gift!
I saw Dr. Ficke for a second opinion after my regular podiatrist recommended surgery for a torn tendon and dislocation of my 2nd metatarsal, and fixing the 3rd metatarsal before it also snapped (2nd/3rd metatarsal shortening (Weil) osteotomies with plantar plate repair). However, my regular podiatrist was hesitant to recommend repair of the large bunion I had on the same foot since it had not been causing any pain.
