Dr. Cruz is an excellent physician! He has gone above and beyond in my thyroid care. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and the work he puts into my treatment plan.
Dismissive and disrespectful. Asked me what did I want him to do about my thyroid issue... really?? Not worth the copayment after the hour and 15 wait. Unacceptable!
Eagerly made appointment w/Dr Cruz some time ago having learned about his expertise etc. Ended up changing doctors as felt he wasn't being aggressive enough in his care. But believe me we also did suffer through many/all of the complaints, inconveniences cited in reviews. Being a doctor, I was able to handle myself better. But too many of the staff are rude, have a superiority complex, are incompetent; unfortunately Dr Cruz seems to condone such behavior: Expertise not always equals Expert care!
Dr. Cruz is great, but super impossible to get an appointment with him. Worst office staff ever! They are so rude, incompetent and very unprofessional. They never answer the phone, and if you leave a message it's days before they call you back. I would not recommend Dr. Cruz until he fires the entire front office staff.
Would give ZERO but one is the lowest to leave a rating. The WORST staff I have ever dealt with. Too bad because Dr. Cruz is a smart physician.
After being a patient for over ten years I sent Dr Cruz a letter expressing my unhappiness with, among other things, not ever getting prompt calls back after many calls and leaving messages. I also addressed him about the exorbitant wait times past my scheduled appointment time (sometimes an hour). His response to my letter was a phone call to me, ending with his firing me as his patient. I had actually already contacted a different endocrinology office by that time.
Dr. Cruz is amazing! I'm an adult who just found out I had type 1 and was freaking out. I had been to multiple doctors trying to get answers and he has helped me so much, made sure I had a few visits within a couple weeks to understand medication, made sure I had visits with a nutritionist and others for dexcom. I will say that getting an appointment outside of a visitation is impossible! I wish that there was a better receptionist or at least an extra one to answer calls.
I have recommended him. They liked him too. Dr. Cruz is a sweet soft spoken man who has great patient communitation skills. He listens and does the best for his patients. I feel secure in knowing he is doing the proper medical treatment. He has my trust in treating my thyroid. I have had problems making appoints on the telephone a year ago. It is better now. I get my next apt before I leave the office. I take my orders with me to so I don't have to spend time on the phone.
Jaime Cruz has been my doctor for over 20 years. He always makes me feel that he is glad to see me and that we have as much time as neeed to discuss my any issues that I may have. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a great endocrinologist.
