I was having sudden breathing issues and she blamed it on mental health. Said that I need to ask a therapist (out of network since the waiting time is months) or get on anxiety meds. I had to convince her to give me a contact for an ENT, not sure why that wasn't top of mind for her.She then told me to seek help if it persists after a whole month, even though I told her it affected me walking and my day-to-day. Worthless doctor who doesn't deserve a license.
Dr. Angerstein was the first physician I saw in Texas, and it was not a good first impression. She misrepresented the facts and lied to me. She said no physician would prescribe the medications I was on, yet several physicians in the past did. She treated me like a drug addict. She wanted to change my medicines without consulting my past physician or knowing my medical history. I reminded her that stopping my medication could cause rebounds and seizures. She didn't care. She dug deeper and implied my Mass General physician w... read more
I have followed Dr. Angerstein through moves to 3 different offices, but unfortunately I am now going to have to change doctors. I’m going on 4 days now without medicine and this isn’t the first time this has happened. The office told me I could do telehealth and then called with just over an hour’s notice to let me know that I can’t, but I’m a single mom with no childcare. (They also called less than an hour before closing on Friday to let me know I couldn’t get my medicine and I couldn’t have an appointment until the follo... read more
I'm SO glad I found Dr. Angerstein a few years ago. She is warm, kind, listens well, never seems rushed, and seems truly interested in my concerns. And I love the new office space they moved to. Will continue to go to her for all my needs!
Love Dr. Angerstein. So friendly and competent. Always has excellent referrals to specialist in Austin. Very good with teenagers also.
We rely on doctors to first do no harm – to safeguard our health - I received quite the opposite in this office . The Doctor made accusatory assumptions, asked unnecessary personal questions, and belittled my character. I'm a mature college-educated adult - not a criminal. If you don't want to treat a patient, don't "play" doctor and charge for your ill treatment.
My old family physician I had gone to for 48 years..The kind of doctor you could get in to see the same day .. You might say "old school".. So much different from doctors these days that is impossible to see within 7 days.. and they have a don't give a squat attitude.. NOT SO WITH DR. ANGERSTEIN.! I found her about 7 years ago.. Her practice is just like my old doctor.. Always will to accommodate your needs and schedule.. And she also treats us men. :)
Always had great reuslts with Jacque. Polite, professional, and prompt. Highly recommend
TLDR: nice doc when you actually get to see her, rude and incompetent staff, annoying hours and arbitrary rules, EXTREMELY bad at handling billing. Unprofessional and just not worth the hassle. Go somewhere with a reliable system in place. I have been a patient of Dr. Angerstein's for 3 years now, the office staff is filled with condescending, rude, unprofessional people who lack the most basic of people skills.
