This place is the only place to go before events at the Moda Center or Memorial Coliseum. They have a great open air concept, with tables inside and outside. Live music, all ages are welcome. Food is pub style, drinks are bar drinks, prices are what I expected, high. The weather wasn’t great when we were down here, but we still had a fun time, enjoyed the music and people watching.
This is literally just a concession stand but infinitely less convenient. If you get to a game early, it’s a better use of your time to sit in your car until the stadium doors open and just eat there. At least when you eat at Moda you can get your food relatively quickly. Here, you are sitting down as if you’re going to get table side service, but the food is really really slow to get out, and you have to wait in lines to get any help. What a joke. Such a great location and, but what an absolute clown show. I counted at least 12 people standing around in the “restaurant “ and we had to figure out how to order, where to go look for drinks, and retrieve what we ordered. Yet they request a 18% tip. Dr. Jack’s…named after the Portland Trailblazer infamous hall of Fame Coach Jack Ramsey. who guided the Blazers to our only Championship in 1977. To put a watering hole/pre game and during game bar and restaurant is brilliant at the South Gate of the Moda Center. And who better to salute…then the Blazers iconic Coach. We have always made Dr. Jacks our meeting spot for the Blazers season games. Food, drink, gathering and amping up for the game. They have modified there menu, due to Covid, they have taken all the proper meas... read more
We got to the Moda Center early for the Blazer Game...As it got closer to game time, it got busy...plenty of spaces to sit (although not necessarily at a table)...prices were extremely high for the quality and quantity served. Had a “gummy bear martini” and it was very sweet (which I enjoy) however the cost was crazy higher and would not recommend it for the charge. My husband had the RipCity Trail Cat and it was good & worth the price since it was a good size cup....We shared the Pretzel Sticks with Nacho Green Chile Cheese... read more
