this is the worst practice. The staff is rude. When you call them, you sit on hold for eternity. They finally pick up, then disconnect you. You call back, sit on hold, if you are lucky enough to talk to someone, they say they will call you back, then they never return the call. The worst and most rude office staff i have ever encountered.
I’ve had Dr. Murphy for several years now, also at the recommendation of a friend. I’m a 46 year old at this point. Dr. Murphy has been great! Always attentive and makes checkups, rx’s, bloodwork, etc as easy as they can be.
As a new resident of Texas I was looking for a new doctor. A friend recommended Dr Murphy and I sadly had a terrible experience. The Dr doesn’t see new patients-they are seen by an assistant or PA. I had been having some terrible stomach issues for a while and asked to see the Dr and was denied. I accepted the appt with the PA and explained I was having some serious issues-I was pretty dismissed and told I likely had IBS and told to manage it. They have treated my 83 year old father well, due to him being medically complex. The staff is knowledgeable and supportive I recommend this practice
I called the office 5 times in the span of 10 days to get an update on the status of my prior authorization for one of my prescriptions, and every time I was told that the doctor would give me a call back and they never did. It got to the point that I almost ran out of my supply of said prescription (glucose monitor) and had to go through Dexcom's technical support and convince them to give me an emergency supply.
