Horrible doctor. Does not listen to you at all as the patient. Thinks he can diagnose you just by looking at you for two minutes and without hearing you speak at all. Prescribe you with medication that ruins your life and will not try and help at all.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Baroya for many years. He was never late to see his patients. There’s no problem with him. It’s the receptionist (front desk) was the problem. She said that Dr. Baroya was running late when I checked in but when I sat down to wait, I saw him and called another patient. What a liar that receptionist.
This doctor is incompetent snd arrogant. He prescribed an inadecquate medication and was never availabe to correct it. Impossible to get a hold of him. Terrible attitude. Zero tact. Zero professionalism.
Dr. Baroya has an amazing outlook with my child that has helped us in establishing what is needed medication and mentally for him to be successful. My son adores him and feels safe and trusts him.
Absolute worst doctor I've encountered and I have medical doctors I deal with. Very judgemental, thinks he knows how the world and everything in it works. If you use cannabis medically he will tell you to go to rehab.... not the brightest bulb in the pack. If you want a real doctor look elsewhere. By the way he will diagnose you with OCD for any movement besides sitting still in your chair and staring directly at him. He has absolutely no personality and won't laugh at jokes. Good luck!
Dr Baroya is one of a few doctors I trust with my best interests at heart, and who helped pull me out of a very dark place. Granted, this also took a level of commitment as a patient towards my own recovery - which is key to any treatment. Yes, we tried many different medications as the key is finding which ones target the defunct neuroreceptors, which is normal. He teased out my dx and this has been the absolute best I have felt in decades. I'm very sad to have lost him due to moving away.
I should have found a different doctor a LONG time ago. I have had him ask me questions that had nothing to do with me, he was remembering a different patient I guess. During my last appt he decided he was not going to continue treating me because I was choosing to use medicinal marijuana to help with my pain management. When I asked for advise on weaning off the meds he had me on he literally escorted me out of his office with ZERO tapering plan or suggestions whatsoever.
Dr. Baroya completely failed me as a psychiatrist! When I went through a difficult time, i was very depressed, he refused to return my calls, did not properly follow-up on my care, his staff failed to get paperwork properly completed and returned to my employer...thus causing me to be let go from my position at Scripps after almost 10 years! Then, after I asked to go to therapy, he then refused to treat me, stating that the therapy program assumed my care, and then cancelled all my appointments
Dr. Baroya is a horrible excuse for a psychiatrist. He tried to set me up to look like an addict and tried to force me into some program or he refused to treat me. I found out he's actually on staff at this program so all he was really trying to do was get double payment from me. Steer away from this doctor. He only has his own interests (money) at heart and does not put the patient first. He is untrustworthy and a snake.
