Dr. Marcus she doesnt appear to actually like working with children. She is not warm and fuzzy, nor playful or inviting. She doesnt communicate what she is doing, why shes is doing it or what her findings are without having to ask detailed questions. She's dismisssive and awkward. Her staff however was lovely and kind.

Dr. Marcus was the rudest doctor I have ever been in contact with. She was condescending towards my 13 year old, made starkly comments and ignored our concerns. Absolutely should not be working with children.

Great visit. Dr, Marcus diagnosed and corrected my difficulty with double vision. She was patient, devoted a lot time to diagnosing, explaining the causal factors, and correcting my vision problem. Highly recommended.

This provider is the rudest and unprofessional doctor we have ever met in our lifetime. My son was very upset on how she communicated. She terrorized him.Will never see her again with other kids too.

My local eye doctor gave me a prescription but advised I needed to go see Dr. Marcus. I was reluctant to travel to Richmond, but thank goodness I did. With my worn out eyes the image was not meetinghorizontally. When driving the road was half of it a foot higher than the other half, very disconcerting. It took a couple of visits to get the focus correct, but I am extremely grateful toDr. Marcus for her patience and expertise to fix my problem. She took excellent care of me.
When my daughter's eyes started crossing just after her second birthday, we went to three ophthalmologists for consultations. Dr. Marcus was our third and final provider. She respected our desire to wait and see if glasses would help, then performed surgery when they didn't. The surgery was successful, and now my daughter's eyes are perfectly aligned! Very supportive and helpful with my daughters needs
When I was looking for ophthalmologist for my 4 years old daughter I put most emphasis on expertise and experience. I feel that top tier medical schools accept the most talented candidates. So when I saw Dr Marcus credentials (Columbia University,NYU,Yale and Duke) I gave it a try. I had a good experience with Dr. Marcus until I didn't. My last appointment it appeared she cared more about her own medical opinion than creating a personalized treatment plan. She is very experienced and is a qualified eye care professional. I saw her yearly for many years as a teenager then as a young adult. I previously saw Dr. Donna Brown.
