Dr Maunus is wonderful. He doesn't rush thru my appointments and will spend what time is needed with me and my husband. He is one of the few doctors that will call you on the phone instead of making you come in to the office for a questions. His MA is not the best but the other lady in his office is wonderful.

It's really too bad to leave this dr. any star. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy on 6/6/19. I had to have something cut out endoscopically and from the colon. I was worried and he wouldn't spend even 5 minutes afterward to explain what he thought it was. He also discovered I have diverticulitis which I know nothing about. I explained I wasn't able to eat anything without 2 Pepcid ACs. He didn't want to hear it. He just kept saying make an appt with my office and I'll talk about the finding. This was the 3rd time I've had a... read more

Business response:

We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Protocol states Dr. Maunus speaks with all patients after their procedure and a follow up appointment is scheduled in the office to go over results.

Dr. Maunus may be an excellent doctor. I'll never know. The woman I spoke with about scheduling an appointment was very rude. I explained I've been having difficulty for 6 weeks and when told it was a several week wait for an appointment, I asked if there might be others in his group. She started laughing! She said the nearest associate was 30 minutes away... which I would have accepted, but her obvious lack of concern or interest - and her unprofessional laughter makes me run the other way.

Business response:

Trimont, We sincerely apologize and have made the office manager aware off this issue. Please call the office and speak to Mistee so she can get you an appointment right away. 772-781-5960. Dr. Maunus is a fantastic doctor and we only want the best care for you.

I really like Dr. Manus. He is always professional and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Manus, spoke with me moments before my colonoscopy and after waking up after the surgery. He called a week later personally with the results of the biopsy. I would highly recommend him as I also did not have any complications or pain afterwards. Great doctor.

I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Manus in July. He told me the results were normal. Shortly after my procedure Dr. Manus was dropped by my insurance (blue shield/cross). When my symptoms continued I went to another GI Doc who told me the biopsy of polyps (standard ) showed a condition called microscopic colitis which, when easily treated would alleviate my symptoms. I NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM DR. MANUS WITH THIS INFORMATION!!!!!!! I suppose money is his only concern. BEWARE!!!!

Dr. Maunus takes care of my 94 year old mother, who has chronic GI problems. He is very compassionate and an excellent clinician. He does not suggest unnecessary testing or procedures and has been very helpful with addressing her issues.
