My Experience with D.R. Horton I purchased a new home from D.R. Horton, and unfortunately I am extremely disappointed. None of the promises they made were kept, and the construction quality is far below what was expected. They used very cheap and low-quality materials throughout the house. This company hires very dishonest employees to represent them. I purchased a Home for them, a little over a year ago. When I went to see the model, I was very specific about the questions I asked. The property had a runoff in the back that was filled with overgrown weeds. I specifically asked if the area would be cleared by closing, and I was told yes. Any new construction will have some sort of issues. Roy Denning came to address them and he’s a man of his words. He addressed them professionally, he wrote work orders with dates of completion and gave me a copy of each order. I am happy to say my issues are resolved.
