The staff especially the counselors are wonderful. Dr Jafary listens to you and spends a great amount of time to help you. The only problem I have with this psychiatrist is that he refuses to write refills or give you a 90 day supply of medicine. He wants you to see him every 30 days so that he can get paid more money which would make an inconvenience, especially if you're on a budget. Didn’t really take me seriously at all. Wish I didn’t come here, felt like my symptoms weren’t taken seriously. Although the staff and nurse was really nice, it didn’t make up for the doctor. I struggle with anxiety and i felt super anxious the entire time, and didn’t even get help for my issue. Was told to just sleep and eat more.
Best doctor around and goes the extra mile to help you
Almost 20 years a patient. He doesn't pay attention to you. I go for script renewal. I have used a C-pap machine since 2004. Last year it quit working, I couldn't get a new one without a sleep study which could be done at home with a doctors order. He refused to order one for me. I couldn't get an appt with the sleep Dr for 3 mos. I woke up with sore throat and bad headache every morn. I knew a Dr 2 hrs. away who ordered me one and within a week I had a new machine. Looking for a new doctor!
Was sent there 3 years ago at the recommendation of my Primary Care Physician and a few others. Found out he's been treating me for Type 2 diabetes when I have type 1. I can stand belittlement if the Doctor is willing to help. Continuing to provide the wrong type of care instead of admitting a mistake is dangerous. I feel for the nurses stuck working under such a man.
Dr Uy has a horrible bedside manner. He hardly ever looks at the patient. He turns his back to you and types on his computer. He does this for most of the visit. His staff is extremely rude. On the two visits that I had, he belittled me because I was a cash patient. Also, both times I waited exactly 45 minutes in the waiting room, then 45 minutes in the exam room before Uy finally showed up to see me. Then the exam took 1 hour for a total of 2 1/2 hours. Ridiculous!!
Dr Uy was very helpful in getting my blood sugar under control and suggesting I see a dietitian to further assist me. Having to deal with type 2 diabetes is new to me and I appreciate any help.
I don't feel like a patient, I feel like livestock being rushed through the loading chute. Dr. seems more interested in getting gardening tips from me that solving my issues. Looking for alternatives as we speak.
