overly Clinical, not engaging with patient, blunt to edge of rudeness, dispassionate, cold, Clearly coasting in practice as he retired not long after....when inquiring about possible treatment he just said get a scooter...
I found Dr. Crane to be an excellent communicator, thoroughly explaining all aspects of the upcoming hip surgery but doing so using layman's terms I could readily understand. He also answered my many questions in the same manner. The surgery was successful and my recovery, uneventful.
Obviously experienced and professional; forthcoming even tho news disappointing; in hindsight felt the information was a bit over the top in gloom and doom department; said not a knee surgical candidate, to get an electric scooter...fast forward and still on 2 legs with cane, knee problematic but not critical as was my impression from his description; told me my world would get smaller due to mobility and it did, but only because my vehicle sidelined, not because of knee. regular exercises help along with occasional pain rel... read more
Dr. Crane is an excellent diagnostician and was able to diagnose my problem after many other professionals were unable to do so. He did not push surgery on me but told me to contact him when I felt ready. I was impressed with his professionalism and skill.
Dr. Crane is a very caring doctor and very knowledgeable. We were very satisfied.

Had right knee revision surgery in apr 2018, first diagnosiswith a different orthopaedic surgeon the recommendation was a total new knee revision procedure involving months and months of therapy and possibly a year plus healing. Dr Cranes diagnosis was a very partial knee revision surgery requiring NO bone cutting. About 6 weeks therapy and now the knee is doing great. Dr Crane had the diagnosis perfect. His follow up care is both thorough and he listened to all of my concerns.
Had both knees replaced in 2010 and results have been outstanding. Dr Crane gave me my life back.
Dr. Crane is a truly wonderful physician. He cares for the whole person not just the problem or injury. He performed a total hip replacement on me in August 2017. His expertise was obvious but his overall care is one of kindness and compassion. My hip is doing great. I can't recommend Dr. Crane highly enough!
