Dr. Maxwell is extremely knowledgeable and personable as well. She is always interested in the well being of her patients.
For me Dr. Maxwell has been a life saver after a horrible accident with much deep scarring. I have come to greatly respect and appreciate her deep care and concern for another human being. I have not found such compassion in any other doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Maxwell for over 10 years. I have had numerous procedures done,some by choice some for vanity. She is compassionate and understanding. Her professionalism shines and is reflected through her staff. An actual doctor who takes the time to listen to YOUR NEEDS. I respect her opinion and do not feel like I was sold a procedure that I did not need. I would not hesitate recommending this establishment to my own family and friends. B Ruth
Felt lipo on thighs was uneven. Doc agreed at follow up appt. & was very nice. On the day I arrived for touch up, doc acted irritated and suddenly couldn't see the uneveness. Mom also saw doc and had bad experience. One of my mom's drains fell out the day after her surgery. She called repeatedly but Maxwell didn't call back for a couple days. The first breast surgery Dr. Maxwell performed for me was ill-advised and looked horrible. She admitted this and agreed to a re-do for the $500 anesthesia fee only. The truly bizarre thing that happened was that we very briefly discussed how she would fix the problem, but on the day of surgery, as I lay on the bed with my IV already in, she asked what I wanted (I was baffled and confused--I thought this was already decided upon) and recommended something totally outside of what was previously discussed. Dr. Maxwell was completely inept at removing my old silicone gel implants and placing new implants. My results were horrible and after two revisions with her, I was completely depressed. I don't think she is a bad person, but I could not possibly recommend her as a surgeon. The office is extremely chaotic, Dr. Maxwell is chaotic, and the environment is chaotic. I went to one of her competitors in Tucson and had to have a complete redo which turned out beautifully.
Dr. Maxwell is a little rushed, but she answered all my questions and even recommended I didn't do something I wanted. She told me the result would be worse than before. YOU have to do lots of research before going to any doctor. Have your questions ready and if they aren't answered then don't have any procedures done until you feel comfortable. It's not the doctor's fault if your questions aren't answered...it's yours.
