Dr Shu is a sole practitioner. He has the time and compassion to greet his patients as well as give them time and attention. He has done cataract surgery for my husband, both eyes.
Don’t we love a Doctor who really cares. Don’t we love the Doctor’s Team who really cares? Dr Hsu and his team are one of the most caring Doctor/Team we know. And being 75ish, we know many Docs. We just met Dr Hsu in Feb, 2020. The Virus hit! So in June, my wife and I comfortably elected to have our Surgeries every Monday for 4 weeks. They went very smoothly thanks to Dr. Hsu. Dr Hsu is wonderful. He explains everything in detail and takes time with you. He removed a cataract from one eye and it was perfect. I'm having my other eye done soon. You couldn't ask for a better and more informed and personal than Dr Hsu. Also his nurses and office staff are very friendly and helpful. All around it was a great experience and I would highly recommend him
Love the Doctor! But if your policy is you must wear a face mask then you should be told at time that you make your appointment and/or on the conformation call! Or have them available for the patients. As we all have mask but don't know to bring them when they can interfere with your eyes as the mask moves around.
Answered all my questions and explained my condition thoroughly. His exam was very complete and was able to explain everything to me. His office is very professional and everyone was very nice and helpful.
RecommendedMy husband and I have been patients of Dr. Hsu for at least 20 yrs. maybe longer. Dr. Hsu is a wonderful eye doctor, easy to speak to and answers all your questions. During my (seven minute) office visit, Dr. Hsu answered his personal cell phone twice because his wife had "butt dialed" him. At one point he cut me off while I was speaking to answer. I was experiencing serious double vision issues, and I was truly afraid. Dr. Hsu continued to tell me I had M.S. He delivered this terrifying diagnosis haphazardly based on zero testing and in spite of a clean MRI. My neurologist was appalled when I told him, and I feel compelled to warn others.
