I had my shoulder replaced Dr Harvey seem vary good at what he did but he told me this was going too be the worse most painful surgery anyone can get,I live with severe scoliosis my bad is on my hip,I have been given pain meds for my back for 30 yrs,When the nerve blocks wore off after extreme pain, He gave me a pain med that worked great , I was released from hospital 2 days with pain , meds that worked in hospital, when I got home I filled my med prescription I got 2 Norco a day I am suffering
Excellent orthopedic surgeon. Had total knee replacement about a year ago at the Kingwood location and could not have asked for a better outcome. Would highly recommend him.
As a surgeon, I find him to be fantastic! Three knee surgeries for my wife and two for me over a 12 year period. His work is truly great. However, he now relies on a PA who doesn't seem very experienced in Ortho, and can't seem to stay on schedule. When my post op followup was scheduled with the PA, I was a bit frustrated. When I had to wait an hour and 20 minutes, I left without ever seeing a Dr. This is not the practice of the Dr. Harvey I met 12 years ago!
Went to him originally for a second opinion when a 3rd back surgery was recommended. He listened to what we said, did a thorough examination, including his own X-rays. Made his recommendations and explained how he would do the procedure. He was very upfront with what to expect and a matter of fact. Recovered faster with much better success after this procedure than the 2 prior procedures by a different surgeon. He has 4 locations in the Houston area and the office staff was friendly.
Dr. Harvey worked on my left knee after a car accident almost 18 years ago, he was phenomenal back then so when my right knee had problems he was the man I went to. Dr. Harvey and his staff are fantastic. Waiting time might be long but generally that is because he got called in on an emergency surgery, but that is ok - because he would do the same for any other patient as well. He was always willing to explain things and answer all my questions.
