Fantastic. Great Dr.
Not friendly, very hurried and rushed and didn’t explain a thing. Answered questions short w no details. Not worth my trip to Sioux Falls.
When seven other orthopedic (ankle) specialists recommended amputation of my right leg below the knee, after losing my talus bone in a freak horseback riding accident, Dr Alvine worked with DuPuy Orthothics and designed an ankle replacement for me in 2094. That was 13 years ago and I am still able to use my ankle normally!! It is a moving joint, not fused! He is caring, forward-thinking, and will work with you to give you the very best!!!
RecommendedI first came in contact with Dr. Gregory F. Alvine by referral by Dr. Douglas P. Tewes in Lincoln, Nebraska, March 24, 2011, as my left ankle was bone on bone. Dr. Alvine analyzed what was needed to be done at that time. He was one of two surgeons in the United States to perform this type of surgery, a replacement of the ankle. It was very lucky on my part.
