I've been monitoring thyroid nodules with Dr. Minkowitz for several years . Though previously benign, this year one presented unclear so the Dr recommended a Gene test to establish whether need for further action. The insurance denied the test based on wrongly accumulated info: wrong biopsy date and finding. Dr Minkowitz refused to help me, refused to clear up the misunderstanding, refused to resubmit my info. Dr. Minkowitz performed a needle aspiration on three nodules found on my thyroid. He said the aspirations would be painless and they were. He told me I would feel minimal discomfort (5 seconds of pressure) and he was right. He then took the cells and viewed them under a microscope immediately and reported that with a preliminary view he could see no abnormalities, but said he did have to conduct a more extensive view. Horrible office stuff. Because of their mistakes and laziness I wasn’t able to see the doctor.
I have been to Dr Minkowitz several times. I think he is absolutely outstanding. Knowledgeable, courteous, considerate, and the top of his field .
Made me wait 3 hours. When I asked how much longer do I need to wait. They said 4 more people before you.
Generally I do not write reviews. However, Dr. Minkowitz is one of the best experiences I ever had. I could give more stars if I could. Thank you doctor :)

Today was my 1st time visiting Dr. Minkowitz in his Staten Island office, I would highly recommend him,his bedside manner is very courteous and kind, supportive,especially for a person like me who is so afraid of needles, in which he did a biopsy in his office and a sonogram of my thyroid, no waiting time as far as my scheduled appointment was concerned, ultimately his staff was great,as was he!!
Dr. Minkowitz is a kind and friendly doctor. Made me feel calm during a really scary procedure for me. I must say that there was no wait time and the fact that I got the results right away was a plus. I will definitely refer him to my friends and family. Very satisfied.
