The doctor himself is great and the only reason for the 2 star rating.. His receptionist however is very rude and clearly not a people person. My wife who’s been seeing the doctor for years called on July 10th with a simple inquiry on prescribed face cream to help with her oily skin. The receptionist proceeded to yell at and demean her, while accusing her of not following the doctors instructions which is complete BS.. all while not letting my wife get a word in edgewise. They couldn’t care less about their patients, even a young 2yr old! We scheduled a visit when my 2yr old daughter’s eye lid eczema flared up. The doctor prescribed her hydrocortisone cream which we applied for two weeks with no improvement. My daughter complained of eye pain, had watery eyes, and light sensitivity. I reviewed the potential side effects and they listed glaucoma! When we called to notify the office, they did not respond for a week! Dr. Poggioli is amazing, very thorough and takes time to explain function, causes and medication options. I will recommend him to my friends and family!
I have visited Dr. Poggioli’s office twice within a year so far for a few skin related problems. Each time he treated me satisfactorily. He explained the problems and the associated treatment well, and patiently answered any questions that I had. He has been very friendly with smily face. His office staff has always been very helpful and welcoming, too. Another important point that I should make is that Dr. Poggioli does not overbook with many patients as some other doctors do. Do not take your children to this office. Dr. Poggioli is not equipped to work with children. We took my son there for some skin lesions he had for years. Children's had told us it was a cluster of blood vessels. The first thing Dr Poggioli said was "That looks like cancer. It's basal cell nevus syndrome." and the conversation went down hill from there, right in front of my 10 year old son with no consideration for his age.
