Avoid Dr. Harrison at all costs. My former psychiatrist, Helen Carlisle, really invested herself into my treatment and because of her I had finally reached a point of stability and was happy for the first time in years. Unfortunately, she left and I became Dr. Harrison's patient. During an appointment with him, I told him how great things were going for me and with absolutely no acknowledgement of that he just took me off the medication that my former provider had put me on. Dr. Harrison is a great man and a wonderful psychiatrist who has saved my life.
After almost a year of seeing Dr. Harrison, he has yet to treat me. I believe he is hanging around UCSF because of tenure. I am sorry for the patients of San Francisco.
