I've been a long time patient, over 15 years, and have aways been pleased. This last year has been an ongoing pain filled disaster that led to my taking the refund and leaving today! I feel like after all these years Dr. Mirkin is not listening and on top of it. A year and I'm still having issue with appointments basically every other month. I'm shocked and saddened.
I now have to walk on the side of my big toe, per his bunion surgery. I had gone to him for years, re: orthotics, and believed he was excellent. No. I was totally wrong.
I got my first and same day appointment! Lizzy was wonderful on the phone the doctor fantastic! Did a little procedure and explained so well.
During COVID-19 seeing a provider can be a challenge, but not here. First of all, when you call for an appointment the scheduler listens to your concerns and gives you a choice of many appointments dates and times to fit your schedule. The check-in process was seamless and wait time nil. Dr. Mirkin and his staff are friendly, listen well to your reasons for an appointment, and explain the purposes of treatment, what to expect next in an immaculate office. Check out was seamless.
I saw him once and complained of foot pain. He taped my feet and said if it relieved the pain it would indicate I needed orthotics. I had told him I did not think the tape would be a good test for me but went with it. I found the tape as uncomfortable as I knew it would be. No follow up was suggested.

He is fantastic!!! Thorough evaluation of the problem with clear information supplied to the patient including how he would rectify the problem and why he is selecting the method he is. He encourages the patient to participate in the process, has a terrific sense of humor, and is open with his thought process. Then add in, on top all that, he is wonderfully skilled as a surgeon and clinician.
