In the age of health care being largely taken over by government, Dr Jenkins is easy to get a hold of, and responsive to questions. (Usually via text) He's also quick to arrange visits with specialists when needed. In an age where long term Doctor/ Patient relationships are an increasingly a thing of the past, for me, this is the next best thing.
I have a constant and unpredictable travel schedule. Dr. Jenkin has gone out of his way on at least three occasions, when he could easily have said “Sorry…not possible on this notice…” to enable me to have prescriptions, appointments, and even quick assessments via phone photos. Also, as his patient, I don’t have to struggle or go through multiple people trying to “filter” me to get to him as I have experienced over the last 40 years in other situations in San Diego. That sense of access and availability means a great deal.
I am an advocate for one of his patients. My friend has MS and is in a wheel chair at a State run facility. It's a horrible place for him to have to live and I could get little to no cooperation from this so-called doctor. If you want to pay a shlock to play at being a doctor, have a good life.
