Dr. Beardell ignored me after sub massive bilateral pulmonary embolisms and giving birth. Took me off blood thinners two weeks later I almost died again. They treated me awful. Don’t go there. They don’t care.
Made appointment in March with critically high platelet count; told 1st available appt was june 8 but that was fine because counts that high bleed rather than clot danger. My cardiologist disagreed and found another hematologist, but said to keep appt wit Dr Beardell. My primary assurred me this was no problem . By May I was hospitalized with multiple pulmonary emboli and was in rehab when my June appt came up. I was ready to go when center said appt was cancelled. No one informed me, so I called. Dr Beardell is very professional, answers all my questions and listens to what I have to say.
This office is so UNPROFESSIONAL! I have been a patient for over 9 years, and the service does not get any better! Long wait times, unless your getting lab work or an infusion; and some of the staff are involved in unethical behavior. My recent visit - it took 15 minutes to complete the check-in process. From the time in which I rang the doorbell to be let into the office, update of patient information, blood pressure/temp check, and then be placed into a room. I have a rare bone marrow disease. We were pointed in the way of dr beardell. He let us know he hadn’t seen my disease before and was going to take some blood. Which seemed reasonable. He then proceeds to tell us he looked over my blood samples and it was a great educational experience for him(at that point we decided to go see someone a bit more specialized in my disease) However he didn’t tell us the test he ran was $500.
