Accompanied my elderly family member to their appointment because of auditory and language barriers but Dr. Singer was seriously misinformed and not up-to-date on endocrinology protocols. He shot down most questions that didn’t directly relate to pharmacological interventions and was not well read on the current literature, often being dismissive rather than at least having a conversation about current interventions. His archaic view towards his discipline of medicine is unhelpful.
I've been seeing Dr. Frank Singer for 2+ years now, semi-annually on Big Island. Since he recently decided to no longer come to Big Island, I have no problem seeing him in Oahu (its like a mini-vacay). He's the nicest and best endocrinologist I could've ever asked for!!
I flew from Big Island to O'ahu to see Dr. Singer. I saw the other reviews and became very nervous to make such a trip. But I believe there are chances that everyone deserves. When I got to my appointment he was very kind and we had a few laughs here and there as we were discussing a diagnosis. I didn't leave upset or felt I was not being taken care of in anyway. I'll admit it was only one visit but I had no problem with him
If I could give less than one star I would. I found him rude and egotistical. He had no bedside manner at all. He made me feel like I had intruded on him even though he accepted the case six months before the appointment. He failed to advise on the health situation presented to him and was more interested in giving excuses as to why he didn't want to take the case. Dr Singer comes to Kona where I live, saving me a trip to Honolulu that I can't afford. He is very knowledgeable in diagnosing and treating my hormone deficient problem. I feel he is an asset to Straub and to our community, and especially to me.
