Dr. Fabian Mendoza Ballesteros is the best. In 2012, my Lupus doctor from Delaware referred me to Jefferson Rheumatologist. One of the doctor I was seeing was living the practice and make sure I got see Dr. Mendoza. That was the best decision. He is a great listener and ensured I received the best medical care. I'm forever grateful. Dr. Mendoza had 15 medical doctors on a phone line to explain why I needed an infusion call Rituxan. His persistent and dedication keeps me going. El Doctor Mendoza es demasiado bueno. Es un profesional en lo que hace además que tiene una empatía grandiosa. La Reumatologo que tenía no me explicaba nada y simplemente me daba el medicamento y me despachaba sin preguntarme cómo me sentía. El Doctor Mendoza en cambio me pregunta como me siento, me da concejo de cómo debo llevar el tratamiento y me explica todo muy bien además que me examina para asegurarse que puedo mover mis brazos y piernas sin dificultad. Saved my life!!! Saw dr Mendoza for quite a few years. He was able to diagnose my problem. Unfortunately I wish he was closer. With the program I am on, my “local” rheumatologist does great for maintenance. If I ever had a problem. Going right back down to Jefferson!!!! His knowledge and expertise is amazing.
I never felt that he truly listened to what I was struggling with. Never explained my options or educated me on possible reasons for my pain. Poor bedside manner in terms of making his patients feel comfortable and heard. If he felt he couldn't help me then a referral should have been made elsewhere but he didn't provide any guidance whatsoever. I've been seeing Dr. Mendoza for years and I wouldn't trade his expertise, knowledge and bedside manner for the world. He's a caring physician.
