I have had nothing but positive experiences with the DECH over the past year. I recently gave birth via c-section and had a wonderful team of Doctor’s and nurses! Each and every nurse and doctor that we interacted with were lovely, professional, and helpful. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, on one hand the ER is extremely slow most of the time even if "you're next" and it can be frustrating, and some of the staff are definitely checked out, but most of the staff I encountered and watched went out of their way to care for their patients and people who were waiting, you can feel how much the people here wished they had more staff and are doing their best. Hope this hospital gets more doctors

Having never really utilized the DECH for personal reasons, I didn't know what to expect. In the past three months, I have visited the ER twice, and the staff were exceptional, kind, compassionate and caring. Joyce, the patient monitor, Dr. Hauman Dr. Bosse and all the RNs and LPNs were truly beautiful people doing a hard job. Thank you guys, for making a hard day a bit better :)

My grandmother has been here for a week and needed surgery. Lauren B was her nurse and is the type of person that was born for this profession. Day in and day out she treats all her patients with so much love and care. The surgeon was great and the staff in general have been so caring.

My expectation of needing to go to the ER was a possible wait time of 20 hrs from rumor. From pre-registration forward, I felt that all the staff were conscientious in doing their jobs. I was diagnosed with RSV with asthma factors. They were very thorough for my risk of pneumonia as well. Yes, it's sad that they now have recliners in the ER being long wait times but it is very good that they recognize the need for it! I felt Blessed to have been home in 8 hrs!!
