Look. She just needs to retire. She knows her stuff for the thyroid for sure. I am not doubting her knowledge, but her bedside manner and professionalism is lacking. She does tell you the truth even when hurtful. And that is fine, I appreciate the directness and seriousness of addressing health choices. What my problem is, she doesnt take any insurance, holds your medication hostage unless you see her--she has a HIGH copay to see her for each visit--and its extortion of patients.

She is very detailed. If it takes a hour to listen and go over any details she will be there for you the greatest Doctor I've ever been to.
*BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR* Dr. Castaneda is a smart doctor. However she is horrible to deal with. My wife was a patient of hers for many years until 3 months ago. About 2 years ago the doctor began holding my diabetic wifes prescription hostage unless my wife came in to see her. Which wouldn't have been a big deal, but Dr. Castaneda doesn't take insurance and requires a $200 co-pay on every visit. Which is extortion. So, my wife chose to find a new doctor.
