Dr Gantt did a major surgery on my thumb,hand,and wrist. It is amazing and I am now ready for PT.She is extremely knowledgeable, explains in detail so you completely understand. She is super also at her office visits.
I was seeing Dr Gantt for some bumps on my thumb. I had open heart surgery scheduled just a week after and she made sure I had an MRI before then. I was impressed at her thoroughness and follow up after the tests.
She was thorough and thoughtful during my examination. She made helpful suggestions and provided wrist brace and suggested a follow up in June.
DrGantt was very solicitous. She gave me good advice.Then did surgery to repair my finger.I felt very confident that all would be well.

Dr. Gantt, is a very knowledgeable surgeon. I felt very at ease with her very calming demeanor. Her care and concern after my surgery reassured me that I had selected the right doctor for my treatment.
I have seen Dr. Gantt 2 times. Both times she has been over 1 hour past the appointment time - and I have 9:30am appts. She is knowledgeable but if you work, this kind of disrespectful view of others time is unacceptable. There are other hand surgeons who are likely as good without the hassle. I’m going to find one. Ps: last time it was standing room only at OrthoCarolina office and they were offended when I went to wait in my car.
As soon as Dr. Gantt came into the room her demeanor made me feel at ease. She was knowledgeable and provided options. When asked to give the injection she did hesitate to provide the service and commonly talked me through the procedure.
Knows what she is doing. However, she is cold, unfeeling, matter of fact and does not apply the common courtesy of saying hello. I will be looking for another doctor as knowledgeable but a little more humane.
