Had C5,C6, & C7 disc replace. Took care of all pain. Only 6 weeks to recover.
Excellent assessment skills. I was discharged by a previous surgeon who did my cervical spinal fusion. I could not write without pain and clumsiness. My surgeon sent me to a pain management doctor. I saw Dr. Lenehan and he did two simple X-rays and immediately diagnosed the problem. He fused my unstable disc, and I got immediate relief. My previous spinal fusion failed from the bottom two screws breaking.
On my first visit I thought Dr Lenehan was very informative and and caring to my issues. After surgery was decided to be the direction we would go, I had a final meeting with him, At that time, I was told he would go thru my left side to make a incision to insert a spacer in the L2 disk area and then thru my back to repair the L5 area. I would have two short rods and four screws to fix the area. I was very happy with Doctor Lenehan, and his staff. Everyone was very professional, and helpful. Doctor Lenehan took the time to listen, and hear what I had to say. He also showed me in the mri what was wrong. When we were finished I understood what the plan was, and his staff followed through with the plan as explained. Thank you!

Great experience! Great Doctor! My neck hurt for 12 years, and I tried everything with other doctors (prednisone, physical therapy, chiropractor care, etc). Went to see this guy and after one or two visits he says he thinks disc replacement will work for me when the other doctors said I didn’t need surgery. I got the surgery a month ago. Now there is no pain in my neck and arms. I should’ve gone to see Dr. Lenehan when I was 24 years old, and it would’ve saved me 12 years of pain and frustration. He talked down to me. I am 77 and am in a lot of pain. No bedside manner. I will not see him again.
Dr. Lenehan performed a laminectomy of L4 & 5 and L5 & S1. The surgery went perfectly and I am now pain free. I had been in total agony for 4 months.
