Absolutely atrocious service. I needed to change a sleep study provider and could not get the office to respond to either phone messages or MyChart messages for more than two weeks - and counting. I will likely need to see another doctor to start the process over.
Dr. Sklar is one of the most empathetic, kind, and knowledgeable doctors that I have ever been to. He really listens, which Is a rare thing these days. Originally, I saw Dr. Sklar for migraines and sleeping problems. I wish my health insurance had been more co-operative, they really fought me on the sleep lab. This is the 2nd time I've been through this process, I really had a hard time with the C-pap machine but I hung in there this time. I have been seeing Dr Sklar for 6 years. He is one of my favorite doctors I've ever seen. He is straight forward, listens to my concerns and explains anything I ask him to. I have never left his office feeling like I'm not important to him. I have no intentions of ever finding a new neurologist and would recommend him to anyone needing his expertise. I also love the front desk staff. They are the friendliest bunch of ladies I've been blessed to meet. I would say more nice things, but no space!

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this Doctor! His lack of empathy is deplorable! He is unfriendly, has little ability to talk with the patient and pretty much reads results from a computer screen without addressing the patient directly. I found him condescending and rude. I hope his parents are never treated the way he treated mine! His lack of understanding regarding dementia is actually terrifying!
Dr. Sklar has treated my mother for dementia and presumed Alzheimer's disease for 3 years. While pleasant and no doubt skilled in other areas of neurology, he has either very little interest or expertise in this condition. After a year, his clinical evaluation of her cognitive and memory ability amounted to asking for her opinion and what day it was. No preparation, probing, assessment or evaluation. Our time: chit chat, review chart, vitals, 2 questions & refill. We will look for another doctor
Clinic staff, front desk and his nurses were polite, efficient and competent. Dr Sklar though he was competent and helped w my condition, failed to explain the tests I was to endure and how painful they would be. His cellphone went off not once but TWiCE and he had the gall to stop and text in the middle of my consultation. This happened AGAIN on my follow up and I am saddened that an otherwise decent practice has someone with such terrible bedside manner and no professionalsm. Would not return.
