Dr Downey is a really great dentist for my little one and has been her dentist since infancy. While other pediatric dentists we saw all wanted to be very evasive using general anesthesia, and put crowns on all the teeth that had some tooth decay, the only one who was different was Dr Downey. He listened to our concerns and worked with us over the years to keep an eye on all of them, while we waited until she was a bit older to endure the treatment. After visiting many pediatric dentists in the area, we finally found our perfect fit with Behind the Smile! I could not say enough positive things about the dentists and staff there. Dr Downey took a balanced approach when it came to a treatment plan for my 5 year old. I am so glad I did not have to put my child under general anesthesia, as many other dentists were pushing for. Dr Muckerheide performed the treatment plan with precision and perfection. 8 fillings later, our son’s smile is good as new.
