I seen her many times a couple years ago. She seemed to care but after several appts ($$$$) and not being able to pinpoint what was going on she was dismissive and rude. Her demeanor changed quickly when she knew I wasn't a text book scenario. About a year and a half later (at the age of 34) I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease from a movement disorder neurologist in VT who took the time to listen and care.
I found her to be knowledgeable and compassionate. She is not quick to dispense opiates and tries to use other medications that are equally as effective. She gave me plenty of time.
Extremely knowledgeable, thorough and willing to listen to all of my questions and concerns. I drove over 2 hrs for my appointment and ALMOST canceled my appointment because of the negative reviews on here. I am so thankful that I kept the appointment and made the long drive. She is truly an excellent doctor. 1000% better than the neurologist in Massena
I’ve been seeing Dr. Gaughan for years & am disabled so money is an issue. They want money up front. Once I was told I would not be able to see Dr. G unless they received money (even though I needed med renewals). Vitals were not taken. Dr. G doesn't listen, has no empathy or concern for her patients. They only cares about getting money & getting you out the door quickly. Insurance is billed $250 and visits last under 5 minutes. Dr. Gaughan is rude & unprofessional. Do not bother visiting there
VERY RUDE!! UNPROFESSIONAL!! CRUEL! My friend called me hysterical from parking lot after her appt. She lost her pain dr in VT due to his serious illness. His staff made appt with gaughan and sent her records. My friend has been on high dose of methadone and lyrica for over 11yrs. Nvr failed urine test or pill count. Gaughan ACCUSED her of abusing her meds!! Wouldnt let her talk. Didnt care if she went into withdrawal, refused help into detox. VT dr called Ellen to say she NVR abused her meds
This doctor wants large sums of money UP FRONT, So you pay her. THEN, cuts you OFF controlled medications with NO NOTICE eaving you in drug withdrawal and refuses to take responsibility for it., a final script or a referral. Should not be in practice.
Dr. Gaughan has been one of my medical provider's now for just over 10-yrs. I was born with a metabolic bone disease and Dr. Gaughan has used her skills & knowledge in Neurology to help me live a more comfortable & higher quality life. Dr. Gaughan has helped treat some of my family members with both acute & chronic Neurological issues. One thing setting Dr Gaughan apart from other specialists is her level of truly caring & treating her patients as more than a income source !
She is hands down the most rude and cold medical professional I have ever met. Does not in any way, shape, or form care about patients. Incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. Tried to end appointment without explaining problem.
My experience with her was terrible. She was rude and i,felt she didn't care enough about my Concerns.I think it's time for her to retire he is definitely not up to date with modern medical technology...
