Dr. Vela is an incredibly skilled and astute clinician. I have referred many clients to her over the years and she continues to be the colleague whose judgement I trust implicitly. I highly recommend her both for evaluations and for therapy.
We had Dr. Vela evaluate our son for giftedness at age 5. She made him feel totally comfortable — he even said it was fun! We have since used her thorough report to qualify him for gifted programs in elementary school and have never had a problem.
