I read some of the reviews below and felt compelled to write a review on her behalf which I never do. My son saw Dr. Ellis several times over a 2-3 year period. In a nutshell, my son had various delays (speech, social, fine motor, feeding), sensory issues, major anxiety, problems with sleep/transitions and on and on. If you have ever completed the forms to determine if your child is autistic, you would think my son was. In fact, many people thought he was. Fast forward to age 7 1/2, and my son is a thriving 1st grade boy (co... read more

I am taking my son over there and I feel like she is a great Doctor and good fit for his necessities. My son is 2.5 years old and sje spent the time with my son and I, I thi k she diagnosed my child right with the problem he has, and she is actually one of the thought doctors for my son. She is very straight and goes to the point. She does what is suppose to do in the medical field "diagnosed " the test for angelman syndrome can came back negative, but it doesn't mean your child doesn't have that, in my case my child test ca... read more

I brought my son to Dr. Ellis because he was displaying hyperactivity, impulsivity and aggressive behavior. She spent less than 30 minutes with us total, asked a few questions, and did a brief intelligence test. She told me my son has ODD likely due to lax parenting and my divorce (although my son's symptoms had been around since he could walk). When I asked her what books I should read to better understand the condition she said, and I quote, "Don't look it up. It will scare you." Upon further researching ODD I realized it ... read more

Do NOT go to her. Because of her, we have lost preciuos time that we could have been doing more for our child. She said to get a book, go to therapy once a week and come back in 6 months. We had NO idea at the time because we trusted her medical expertise. What doctor tells you not to get your kid anymore help when they cant talk!!! I WISH i had seen these reveiws BEFORE we saw her. We were just so desprerate to get in to get help that we didn't research her.

Dr Ellis is cold and offputting. I would recommend everyone even thinking of taking their children to Dr Ellis to RUN and fast. Her staff is disorganized and dishonest and Dr Ellis is short and condescending. It's a shame that someone with this type of demeanor chooses to work with children. Doctors like her are the reason us parents of special needs children have to act like crazy people. Same on you Dr Ellis, you're people skills and lack of accountability are shameful.

dr ellis seemed cold & distant to be working w kids. she was assesing my baby's milestnes, they were sittin on the floor, talking and lookin at me, not on the baby so when he hit his head, she wasnt able to prevent it. she didnt apologize and even said: he has to get hurt many times b4 he can sit up. THANK YOU FOR STARTING IT!i dont like her.

Dr. Ellis was a great doctor. Many people think she is to tough or harsh. She was firm on what she said, and at times I did feel uneasy. But after following her and doing what she has told me things have changed for my son. Thank you Dr. Ellis. You have given me hope and am helping my child's development grow at a fast and steady rate. As a mother I have also improved my parenting skills. That way when we leave you, we will be steady on out feet. We wish you the best. Thank you

Our 3 year old son is very delayed in speech & social interaction. We have had multiple doctors & therapists tell us he has sensory processing issues & possibly PDD as well as apraxia. He only speaks 3 words,& a handful of animal noises.I made the mistake of putting on the paperwork that his therapist thought he had PDD,because it seemed she thought I had no other reason for thinking he has PDD.She told me I am not being firm enough with him,& that I need to make him say what he wants, otherwise don't give him anything!HELLO,IF... read more

At age one we started to notice that our son was falling behind in meeting his goals, and just seemed off. My son had seen Dr. Ellis at PCH when she was there, she has now left. At the time she told us w/o testing that he had Angelmans, after tests came back negative she wanted to take a wait and see approach, and follow up in six mths. We got him involved in EI and started therapies. After numerous therapists confirmed our thoughts of him being seriously behind, and just "off" we took him back to her (six mth appt) an quest... read more
