I don't know what Lisa in Tucson is talking about when she says Dr. Beggy is pompous, arrogant and very impressed with himself. He has been our doctor for 19 years, and he is absolutely totally opposite of what she says. He is very friendly, makes you feel immediately at ease, is a wonderful doctor, and his staff all love him. No military feeling there AT ALL! He comes across real friendly but I got the impression that he uses his friendliness to keep patients at arms length. With this in mind, I had three problems with Dr. Beggy. First, he was more concerned with liability issues than about the well being of his patient. Second, he had a tendency to talk over the patient when he didn't want to hear what the patient was saying. Third, he didn't seem to care.
AVOID!! I would have given Dr. Beggy a zero if possible. He is pompous, arrogant and very impressed with himself. He runs his clinic like a military clinic. No compassion whatsoever. Just all business, no personalized care. I quit seeing him and now my husband has stopped seeing him.
It sucks that Dr. Beggy charged me $5 to sign a form that I needed for work. Well, times must be tough!
I had a urgent need for a ear surgery and I was passed from receptionist to other non-listening person and on hold for over 10 minutes and they still refused to get the message to the dr. or show the compassion they were noted for. I may end up losing my hearing or having the infection spread to my brain because I made the mistake of choosing this office as my PCP and a dr. only seeing me once for 15-20 minutes and thinking he knows more about me than an ENT. How sad.
