Dr Kauffman needs to retire. Honestly he appears burned out. Was absolutely the worst dr appointment I have had. He did nothing and outright lied to me about a skin issue. Went to another Dr who took care of my problem in 5 minutes.
I've been a patient of Dr. Kauffman's for over five (5) years now, with my latest appointment in December of 2017. He has always impressed me with his friendly, attentive, and gentle nature. I leave his office feeling and believing that my cares and concerns were met. There are some physicians or medical professionals that you wonder why they are in that career because their compassion is so lacking. Not so with Dr. Kauffman or his assistant, April. To me his retirement is a loss.
He gave me very little patient education beyond recommemdations to cover up to prevent sun damage. He's about to retire, which seems to be a good idea because he appreaed to lack interest, and didn't give me treatment options for skin cancer. Will not return. All other staff are great and went out of their way to be helpful. I give them thanks!
