Do not go to Dr. Vanek! Him and his staffs are unprofessional. He talks over his nurse and she will question his decision in front of me, makes me kind of hesitated of his medical decisions. Did a 2 weeks follow up with him and he didn’t review my chart before he come see me. So he thought I was a new patient. That makes me realized I can’t trust him. My pain has gotten worse after he give me a shot. I regretted so much for going to him.

Beware! Dr. Vanek has a horrible reputation & rightly so! Sadly, my sister didn’t find this out until after he operated on her. She knows several people that have used him & all had horrible experiences. Even medical pros in the area know about him! Some people even guess his name before she tells them. A group of 20 sued him but his huge team of lawyers managed to defeat them. So sis now needs her surgery redone b/c it was not performed correctly the first time. All we can do is warn others.

I've seen Dr. Vanek for three different issues and been through two surgeries with him. Dr. Vanek found my knee issue when several other Doctors had given up. Thanks to Dr. Vanek I have been without pain for over a year... His staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I've found Dr. Vanek to be very caring and always looking for the best course of action that was necessary even if it were an answer I didn't want to hear...turns out he was right in the end. Thanks Dr. Vanek!!!

I've known Vanek for years. I went in to see him for a doctor's note to clear me for the military. I had ACL surgery 6 years earlier by a surgeon at UCSF. After waiting for 3.5 hours, he came in and didn't even examine or touch my knee, but said he'd write the letter. He then called me a week later and said my knee would fail, however he made this assumption without even running any tests on my knee or any evidence. He's just a weird guy and very unprofessional. He's a compulsive liar as well.

Dr. Vanek and most of the staff is rude, and uncaring of medical needs. He tried to force a total knee replacement for my husband and then cancelled the surgery twice. When we requested answers Dr. Vanek got on the phone with me, and started to yell and say disrespectful things. We filed a complaint with our insurance, and he lied in his response. If you ask questions, then the will turn on you. Don't go here!!

Dr. Vanek adopted me from the clinic environment, he thought he would be best serve my medical situation in his private office. I have Osteoarthritis all over. Took time to see what he could do, if not refer to someone who can. He is friendly, funny, however, straight to the point, serious about his treatments and options. His staff is very nice!

Dr Vanek is a very rude and ignorant person who forces his patients to go to a lousy rehab place or else sign an Against Medical Advice paper after knee replacement surgery, upon discharge from the hospital. He maintains poor communication with his patients and does not easily prescribe any medical supplies after surgery. He says something and does something, full of lies. ONE of the Most Ridiculous doctors I have ever seen. NEVER EVER go to Dr Vanek.
