I received remarkable care from Dr. Docu and his nurse practitioner for more than a decade. Unfortunately, when I recently visited his office to inquire about my upcoming appointment, I was informed that I had been discharged a month earlier. The lack of effort to work with me or provide the benefit of the doubt is disappointing, given my long-term patient status. Although Dr. Docu is an exceptional doctor, his front office staff should focus on enhancing their customer service skills.
Dr Docu is attentive. He asks questions and does not rush through the visit.
Appointments are always on time ! The Patient Portal is very helpful if you need any assistance or have questions/concerns between appointments. You can communicate effectively with the office. I have done it many times with 100% response. I love how caring and friendly is the staff. Dr Docu's thorough care has helped greatly to improve my medical issues. His down to earth approach and advice is priceless!
I love this Dr. Docu and Staff, he is very caring, compassionate and he really looks out for the best interest of his patients. He's very cool and laid back just enough to make you feel at home but professional enough for you to know that you are in the best hands. The staff: front desk ,assistants and management go far and beyond to accommodate me. I have been gong to him for years and I can't see myself going any where else. I recommend him 1000%!!!!
Dr Docu has been our PC physician for almost 20 yrs. My wife and I both are treated like family by the whole staff. Each encounter with staff and Dr Docu is fully engaged with our needs. Dr Docu has always responded even after normal hours. He's forth right in his medical evaluations and takes time to explain in layman terms. When necessary, Dr Docu had always referred us to the best specialist in Savannah with follow up on findings. He is candid and straight forward in his diagnostic opinions. For the past three years, I have received excellent medical care from Dr. Docu and great service from his staff. I am surprised some reviewers find the staff rude. The staff has been remarkably welcoming and kind to me. Of course, I try to treat them as I would like to be treated and start by assuming they have good intent. I am a first responder and event manager who was come to this doctor for years. This office has canceled appointments of mine, and then said I was the one who made the cancellation. (Which I didn’t) , and has now discharged me as a patient for missing appointments (3 over 2.5 years). Any missed appointments were due to emergency circumstances at work. Apparently the office management controls patient care. Wasn’t even told I was discharged until I showed for my appointment. Do not go here.
Worst doctor ever!
Dr. Docu and Judy are amazing at what they do. The nursing staff is very friendly and make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Candace and Ashley really calmed my first time fears. The girl up front with the octopus tattoo was a real upgrade. The new office managers are much nicer too! I highly recommend this office
