I can't thank Dr. Fernandez enough for what he did for me. I went in on June 6, 2021 with a Comminuted Fracture of the Left Patella (Shattered Knee Cap). Dr. Fernandez was very professional and walked me through in detail through all my options. He was completely honest about everything. He performed surgery on June 15, 2021 and took his time in the OR making sure his work was perfect. Every check-up after that, Dr. Fernandez was always present and showed me my progress. Due to the intensity of the fracture I thought I was n... read more
In 2015 my husband, Chuck, fell and broke his right elbow. We met Dr, Fernandez at Providence on 375 then. It was a 7 hr surgery. With the recommended therapy he has never had a problem. We now have an appointment on Feb 1st because Chuck missed a step and fell backwards hitting the corner of a table. He has multiple fractured ribs on the left side as with the scapula also on the same side. We have recommended Dr Fernandez many times.
Mi nombre es Jorge Domínguez y estoy muy agradecido con el doctor Fernandez y su equipo de trabajo tuve la oportunidad de llevar mi recuperación con ellos y fue todo un éxito gracias.
Required wrist surgery, Dr Fernandez & his staff were extremely professional, attentive to my needs, appointment wait time is minimal, & prompt. Had one of the best medical experiences & my wrist has healed favorably. Highly recommend Dr. Fernandez & his staff.
Wont message you back after first appointment about knee injurys 3 weeks now and nothing also front desk will lie.
Dr. Fernandez is AWESOME! My daughter had 2 knee surgeries. The first one was an ACL reconstruction and three months later after an accident she needed a second surgery for a meniscus tear. Dr. took his time explaining to us both procedures and answered any questions we had. After surgery my daughter was referred to therapy and now she is doing what she loves, playing sports. Would highly recommend Dr. Fernandez and his staff. Staff is very friendly April, Sonia answered my emails and calls on a timely manner. Thank you Dr. ... read more
I had the same experience as you, I assume he doesn't know about knee injuries.
Dr. Edgar Fernandez did a fine job repairing my rotator cuff. I had a lot of pain the first month after surgery. About 60 days after my surgery I began thinking I may have done the right thing as I began seeing progress during physical therapy. I'm now over 90 days past my surgery and I am going to start playing golf and softball again. I am 71 years old. But fair warning. Shoulder surgery is not for sissies. It is going to hurt and the pain killing drugs are not you friend!
Business response:
Thank you very much for your feedback
Terrible experience. Told me he needed to take X-rays to check if there was any cartilage under my kneecap when he received the X-rays he told me that X-rays don't show cartilage, so the X-rays weren't really needed. With the pain and swelling I am unable to put pressure on my right leg and he told me I needed to start walking on it again. Left there with more questions about my knee injury than I went in with.
Business response:
I truly apologize for this misunderstanding that lead to you feeling like you had more questions after the visit, as I do make it a point to answer all patient questions. In fact, Xrays are utilized in order to obtain information about cartilage condition even though cartilage does not show on xrays & only shows as a space between the bones. The fact that it does not show up does not mean that they were not needed. In fact, they are very reliable in evaluating the condition of the cartilage.
