The best ever. I had reconstructive surgery on a severed posterior tibial tendon from a fall. His medical/expertise kindness, and follow up got me through this difficult time. He actually listens and communicates with you. Recommend highly
I rarely was able to speak to him, usually was with his PA. When I did see him, he would overwhelm my family with worst case scenarios and was condescending about finding different forms of treatment outside of his office. Didn't seem to have much bed side manner or human emotion. Would not allow me to see a wound care specialist and gave me no insight as to how to dress my wound so ended up in the emergency room with an infection.

I called his office weeks ago inquiring if he would do a phone consult as I now live 3-4 hours away from Portland. I spent a LOT of time coordinating transmittal of ALL medical information to his office. His assistant was very helpful. Day of the scheduled phone consult, Nov. 19, 2019 I never received his call. Waited all afternoon. Left a voicemail to his medical assistant. This is Nov. 20. no return call from anyone. So much for high regard for him. Unprofessional and arrogant.
Dr. Beaman has Gone above and beyond more than once to get our son healthy and back participating in the sport that he loves. He explains everything in detail and really listens to our concerns.
Dr. Douglas Beaman is hands down the best doctor I have ever had and anyone else who knows of him has always said the same. You can tell after spending any time in his care that he truly cares about h is patients. His staff is wonderful. I am so blessed to have had him as my doctor. He made me walk normal again after being told i probably wouldn't by many others
It's seem often that Doctor's don't care about there work or there patients. Dr Beaman is not one of those doctors. My wife suffered from calcaneus fractures in both feet ,wont go into to much details, but Dr Beaman always explained what he was going to do with surgeries and treatment and you can see that he is passionate about his work. He is a credit to this community. I wouldn't want anyone else fixing my wife's heal's except Dr Beaman and the team at Summit Orthopedics.
Outstanding patient rapport. He listens and considers your ideas. He is very skilled.
