Well I just spent a lot of time writing a review which disappeared into cyberspace. Here is the short version... The care is excellent,staff are all superb and my decision to have surgery at NPC was one of the best things I could have done for myself. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart
Best surgical experience ever! Amazing Dr's, painless procedure and very fast recovery. Dr's give you their own phone #'s and answer your calls night or day. I had difficulty getting calcium stabilized after and had to call several times, they had such patience and were amazing to work with both before and after surgery. I had mine done in 2009. My local scans identified the wrong parathyroid. Dr Norman did scans again before surgery and was able to identify the bad parathyroid. Thank you!!
I am so thankful for finding The Norman Parathyroid Center in Tampa, Florida. I had surgery there and they removed 2 Parathyroid adenomas and a Thyroid nodule. Dr. Lopez did my surgery, and Dr. Boone assisted. All of the nurses and everyone else with the center were exceptional. I will be forever grateful.
I would not go anywhere but the Norman parathyroid center in Tampa General Hospital. See my video blog at the check-in at The Norman parathyroid clinic at Tampa General. I live near Boston had I went there I would still be in the hospital because I am four days postop. My Mother was suddenly diagnosed within 1 week with Hyper Para Thyroidism her calcium level was 16. She Had A Near Death Expience. Thanks to Dr Norman he removed the Adenoma on Tuesday. I'm 73, and had surgery here on February 2nd, after 9 years going to an endocrinologist who took the "we'll test again in 6 months and see how you're doing" approach. I was so sick before I had surgery, I really think I was dying! As far as I'm concerned, the doctors at Norman saved my life! ALL pre-surgery symptoms are gone!! Thank you thank you Dr Norman, Lopez, Boone...and the whole NPC. Having surgery today was truly a positive experience in a well oiled medical facility. Both my sister, who was my companion, and myself felt extremely well taken care of.
